District and Sessions Judge
Mr. Mohammad Taufiq Aziz joined this district on 31st January 2023 as District and Sessions Judge. He is a permanent resident of Sadar Upazila of Comilla district. He appeared in the 18th BCS examination and passed BCS (Judicial) with merit and joined the Judicial Service in 1998. Earlier he obtained LL.B (Honours) and LL.M degrees from Rajshahi University. He was working as a judge at all levels in various districts of the country including the High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court. During his career he undertook judicial training within the country and in India and Australia. In addition, he participated in the Judicial Seminar on Commercial Litigation organized by the Supreme Court of New South Wales High Court of Hongkong in Sydney, Australia. Earlier he was the Chairman (District Judge) of Chittagong First Labor Court of Chittagong District. He has traveled to Australia, India, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia.
